  • Acting for Cathedral (Clapham) Limited in relation to the Clapham One mixed use residential-let project, including dealing with the development aspects, pre-sales, social housing, senior debt provided by Deutsche Postbank and Homes and Communities Agency debt and equity funding
  • Acting for the consortium shortlisted for Bournemouth LABV
  • Acting for the responsive repairs and cyclical maintenance provider on the London Borough of Lambeth Myatt’s Fields North Estate housing project
  • Acting for the Galliford Try consortium bidding for the Non-HRA Kent Housing PFI Project – Excellent Homes for All
  • Advising on a £60 million housing renewal scheme in London, including the demolition and replacement of 302 homes built in the 1970s, and the construction of 198 new homes for sale, with the overall aim of developing a mixed community. A new park and community centre will also be created, and several commercial units will be refurbished
  • Acting on numerous social housing projects totalling in excess of £350 million in capital value, including those at Camden, Islington, Lambeth and Leeds
  • Acting for Freshwater group of companies including in relation to the substantial refurbishment/redevelopment of a number of City of London sites
  • Acting for Bolton Retirement Homes on the acquisition, redevelopment and subsequent end unit sales of Chantry Hall in Westbourne, including dealing with planning issues and sale of part for affordable housing
  • Acting for Native Land in a joint venture with Grosvenor Estates on the acquisition and development of Neo Bankside behind Tate Modern
  • Acting for a joint venture between Grainger plc and Helical Bar plc in their successful bid to London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham to be appointed as preferred Developer for the redevelopment of land adjoining Hammersmith Town Hall as a major retail, office and residential PPP scheme. Following the appointment of the joint venture as preferred Developer we acted for the joint venture in settling the Development Agreement and are now acting on an on-going basis for the joint venture
  • Advising on a £154 million housing project in the north of England, involving a 20 year concession for construction and maintenance. Over 1,150 council homes will be refurbished, and 475 built, with maintenance and environmental improvements taking place over the concession period. The emphasis will be on creating a wide range of tenures, improving the quality of housing and facilities in communal areas, ensuring that green areas are more accessible and user friendly, and improving pedestrian walkways and cycle routes, thereby providing better access to the wider area
  • Acting on new-build housing developments in Essex, one of which (acquired under a complex development lease from English Partnerships) involves the regeneration of a decommissioned hospital and surrounding land, and ‘golden brick’ transactions on two further sites in connection with affordable housing units
  • Advising on a 125 year development lease for the residential development of the former Turner Village hospital site in Colchester. This was acquired via the mechanism of a complex development lease, which required extensive negotiation, from English Partnerships whose primary concern was to ensure control of the quality of the redevelopment of the site through the imposition of detailed development obligations and monitoring procedures
  • Advising Grainger on its winning bid for Aldershot Urban Extension – the regeneration of 365 acres of land as a mixed use residential scheme with schools and community and leisure facilities as well as the development of 4,500 homes on a former military site in Hampshire
