The Hong Kong office was established in 1981 and is the hub of Clyde & Co's Asia network. The merger with Barlow Lyde & Gilbert in November 2011 brings together over 70 fee earners making the combined firm one of the largest international practices in Hong Kong.

Our Asia construction group is led out of Hong Kong, but covers infrastructure and construction projects across the region. The team acts for a broad cross-section of the industry from developers, purchasers, landowners and public bodies through to contractors, sub-contractors, engineers, surveyors and investors in relation to both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
We have one of the leading marine practices globally and this is replicated in Hong Kong. Our team is highly experienced in resolving issues arising from marine and energy insurance, transport, and international trade and commodities. Our broad client base includes property and liability insurers, ship owners, charterers, traders, commodity brokers, banks, logistics companies and transport groups, major energy and offshore construction operators, oil majors and operators.
