• Advising on a US$4.2billion acquisition of a development site in Dubai, and on-going advice on management of the property elements following completion
• Advising a leading PJSC on its development of specified investment areas, including the development of two high rise towers for commercial, office and residential use and drafting of standard form sale and purchase documentation, assessment of mixed use commonhold developments and drafting form of constitution of relevant co-owners associations
• Reviewing and advising on leases and tenancy issues within the Dubai International Financial Centre
• Advising an upstream oil company on lease and property documents associated with a private finance scheme with a capital value of US$2.3billion
• Advising on the prospective purchase of 160 residential apartments within the Dubai International Financial Centre
• Acting for a developer client on the construction of a tower block in Dubai marina following joint venture arrangement
• Advising generally on property ownership issues throughout the GCC and surrounding countries
• Acquisition for major UK client of four shopping centres within UK with total value of £90m, dealing with all property aspects and working with tax advisers on implementation of tax structures. Also acting on the subsequent management of retail and office investment property, including lettings, renewals, advising on planning and title issues on potential disposals and attending monthly reporting meetings with the client and its surveyors
• Advising on and managing lettings in the UK for leading high street retail chains, including Zara, Aldo and The Carphone Warehouse. Drafting and negotiating leases, agreements and licences; analysing and interpreting rent review, insurance, termination, alienation and service charge provisions
• Acting for UK developers on acquisition of new sites, including negotiation of planning agreements, overage provisions and infrastructure documentation; acting on plot sales following acquisition and in connection with management of estate/business parks
• Acting for telecoms operator in Maldives, providing review of draft leasing arrangement for cell sites
• Acting for leading UK retail operator in its acquisition of flagship premises in landmark building for roll-out of new design concept incorporating mixed uses; advising on all aspects of the lease purchase and overall planning and environmental issues
• Acting for major global networks security operations company on management and development of its property portfolio; advising on sales and purchases, leasing arrangements, planning issues, joint venture arrangements and general matters
