Allison Calkins joined Clyde & Co US LLP as an associate in 2010.
Her principal areas of practice are insurance and reinsurance law. Allison focuses her litigation practice on the representation of domestic and foreign insurers in complex coverage disputes arising out of professional indemnity policies, directors and officer liability policies, financial institution and crime bonds, errors and omissions policies and general liability policies. She also provides coverage analysis and advice to clients with regard to various commercial insurance claims.
Allison received her J.D. in 2004 from St. John’s University School of Law. She graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration-Finance.
During law school, Allison was a legal intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement, where she worked on the investigation of various securities law matters.
She also worked as a law clerk in the legal department of a publicly traded specialty finance company assisting the General Counsel on all aspects of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
Allison is admitted to the New York bar and to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
