Allison's experience includes the successful representation of domestic and foreign insurers in complex litigation, mediations and claims investigations, including the following:
- Professional liability insurers in a coverage action in New York Supreme Court brought by an investment bank seeking coverage for over $200 million in settlements and defense costs relating to mutual fund market timing and late trading.
- Professional liability insurers in a bad faith action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of South Dakota regarding a claim for a $2.2 million settlement and defence costs in an underlying commercial action.
- E&O, professional liability and fidelity insurers in claim investigations and coverage litigation relating to major financial scandals, including IPO allocation, mutual fund market timing and late trading and subprime lending.
- Fidelity and crime insurers in investigations of fraudulent schemes in the U.S., Canada and Japan.
