Chris has been based in the Singapore office of Clyde & Co since 1996. He has widespread experience of the legal systems in South East Asia. These include Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Chris specialises in commercial dispute resolution with a focus on the carriage of goods by land and sea, shipbuilding warranty claims, disputes relating to offshore energy projects, international trade transactions and supply and agency agreements.
His international client base includes ship owners, P&I clubs, charterers, freight forwarders, Lloyds syndicates and insurance companies. Chris also acts for some of the world’s leading credit insurers and has extensive experience of cross-border claims and major recoveries pursued in South East Asia, as well as advising insurers upon policy wordings and coverage issues.
