David practices in the areas of professional liability and insurance. His practice includes defense of a wide range of professionals, including architects, engineers, attorneys and real estate brokers, against claims of professional malpractice. He also represents and advises insurance companies with respect to coverage issues related to professionals. He has broad general litigation experience and has represented insurers in some of the largest complex insurance coverage disputes in the state of California.
During law school, David served as an extern for the Honorable Thomas A. Wiseman, Jr., United States Senior District Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee, and the Honorable Martha Craig Daughtrey, formerly a Justice on the Tennessee Supreme Court.
A member of the American Bar Association and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, David is a 1993 graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law, J.D. where he was associate editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and received the Grace Sims Prize for excellence in student writing and the American Jurisprudence Award in Corporations. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama, B.S.B.A., 1989.
