Deborah Elsasser has 24 years of litigation experience that has included representation of airlines, multi-national corporations and insurers. She has extensive experience in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts, and in domestic and international commercial arbitration proceedings.
Deborah is a member of the International Panel of Wolters Kluwer Air & Space Law and has published several articles on aviation litigation, insurance law and federal practice. She has served as a contributing author to New York Law of Torts (West 1994) and Litigating the Aviation Case (ABA 3d Ed. 2008), and has participated as a speaker at conferences on aviation litigation and insurance law. For the past three years, Deborah has served as Co-Chair of the Aviation Litigation Subcommittee of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation, and Co-Chair of the program committee for the annual ABA Section of Litigation's Aviation Litigation Seminar. Deborah was recently appointed Co-Chair of the Mass Torts Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation.
Deborah is a graduate of Boston College (B.S., 1985) and St. John's University School of Law (J.D. 1988), and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1989. She is admitted in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the First, Second, Third, and D.C. Circuits. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Aviation Insurance Association, Council on Litigation Management and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
