Derek has been a partner at Clyde & Co since 1981 and is head of the marine department. He specialises in shipping and insurance litigation.
Derek has conducted Arbitrations and Court actions in the UK and abroad for shipowners, charterers, insurers and traders for many years.
He also has considerable experience of major casualty work and has significant client bases in the shipowning communities of Japan, Thailand and Greece. Derek also has recent involvement in shiphijacking cases.
