Elizabeth Turnbull joined Clyde & Co in 1999 and is a partner in Clyde & Co's Spanish and Latin American and Transportation departments.
She has an international practice with an emphasis on transportation, trade and commercial and insurance/reinsurance work. As a native Spanish speaker, she has a particular focus on work involving Spain and Latin America.
Elizabeth specialises in dispute resolution and has significant litigation experience in the High Court and in LMAA, LCIA and ICC arbitration.
On the transportation side, her caseload comprises largely of disputes under shipping and commodities and related contracts, such as charterparties, bills of lading and marine insurance contracts. In commercial matters, she is involved in a variety of trade and investment disputes, often with an international aspect.
Elizabeth's clients include shipowners, charterers, freight forwarders, oil majors and traders and their insurers/reinsurers.
Elizabeth lectures nationally and internationally on all aspects of transportation law.
