Gloria specialises in dispute resolution. She has extensive experience in advising international and local insurers and P&I Clubs in relation to Personal Injury, Employees’ Compensation, Public Liability, Policy Liability, Professional Indemnity, Motor Liability, Product Liability, Property Damage, Life and Health Insurance, Performance Bonds, Medical Negligence and Claims for Contribution / Indemnity amongst insurers.
For professional indemnity claims, Gloria has acted as coverage counsel for insurers and as defence counsel for insured. She has acted as coverage counsel for a block Incorporated Management Committee Liability Insurance policy taken out by the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government for over 400 aided schools and has defended various school management committees on employment matters.
She has advised on wording of various types of insurance policies, on insurance and other government regulatory issues and on a range of employment matters involving termination and discrimination issues.
Gloria has advised various airlines and ground handling service providers on personal injuries, employees compensation, cargo damage, baggage loss, damage to aircraft, public liability claims and contractual disputes involving airlines, ground handling service providers and aviation centres.
Gloria has been with Clyde & Co since joining as a trainee solicitor. She was admitted to practise in Hong Kong in 1995 and England and Wales in 1998.
