Ik Wei is the resident partner and chief representative of Clyde & Co's Shanghai office. He joined Clyde & Co's Hong Kong office in 2000 and became a partner in 2004. Ik Wei relocated to Shanghai in 2006 to lead the development of the Shanghai office and to further strengthen Clyde & Co's China practice.
His main areas of practice are in transportation, international trade, energy and insurance with a particular focus on disputes and investments connected with China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He also advises international clients on general corporate issues and doing business in China.
Ik Wei is admitted to practice in Hong Kong, England and Wales and Singapore. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Chinese dialects (Hokkien and Cantonese) and Bahasa Malaysia.
