Jane has been with Clyde & Co since 1974 and has been a partner for the last 27 years. She specialises in dispute resolution and has extensive experience of both arbitration and litigation. For the last decade Jane has also been prominent in the area of alternative dispute resolution, principally mediation, both as a mediator and as client representative/advocate.
She has further been engaged by clients in the role of "settlement counsel" where existing representatives have been unable to extract them from protracted and complex arbitration/litigation.
Her main areas of expertise are reinsurance and insurance (marine, non-marine and aviation). Jane has dealt with a wide range of disputes frequently of a complex, cross-border or multi-party nature. Areas include financial services, business contracts, employment, lender liability, professional liability, marine/aviation disputes, partnership/shareholder/joint venture disputes and transportation.
