Jezamine was admitted to practice as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2000 and in England & Wales in 2002. Her practice areas include intellectual property, employment and general commercial disputes. Jezamine has extensive experience in intellectual property matters. Her work includes: trademarks, patents, designs, copyright infringement, the development and implementation of strategies for the protection of intellectual property rights, advising on gambling online, domain names and security issues relating to conducting business over the internet.
Representing a wide variety of international clients from industries including luxury goods, tobacco, skin care and cosmetics, textiles, semiconductors and toys, Jezamine has worked with advertising and marketing professionals to develop both protectable and strong brands particularly in the areas of licensing and franchising. In addition to providing advice and assistance to clients on the positioning and the protection of their brands, Jezamine has represented clients in enforcement actions issued in the High Court. She has successfully pursued actions against infringers obtaining injunctive orders, orders for the delivery up of infringing goods and damages.
In addition to her IP experience, Jezamine has significant experience in assisting clients in respect of employment matters. She regularly advises clients on issues relating to employees' benefits and entitlements, sexual harassment, discrimination, the termination of contracts of employment, managing the departure of employees, redundancies and lay offs and the enforcement of restrictive covenants.
