John became a consultant with Clyde & Co in May 2007 having been a partner with the firm since 1977.
He is currently a member of the joint cargo committee working party which is reviewing the institute cargo clauses, the standard insurance clauses for carriage of cargo worldwide.
John is also engaged in writing a book on marine cargo insurance.
