John is head of Clyde & Co’s construction group and has been a partner since 1999. He has extensive experience of advising on, negotiating and drafting building and engineering contracts and all supplemental documentation.
He acts for a broad cross-section of the industry including developers, contractors, sub-contractors, architects, engineers, surveyors, banks and insurers.
John acted for the British coal corporation for a number of years before its dissolution, particularly in relation to the design, supply and installation of mechanical and electrical engineering plant, offshore structures, power stations, coal liquefaction, mining and environmental issues.
He is also an approved adjudicator on the technology and construction solicitors’ association’s panel and has been appointed on numerous occasions. He acts for clients in all forms of dispute resolution, in particular adjudication, litigation, arbitration and mediation.
