John joined Clyde & Co in 1982 and became a partner in 1986.
He is actively involved in Eastern European and Central Asian business and works closely with the firm's offices in Moscow,
St. Petersburg and Belgrade.
His primary focus is on international arbitration and litigation disputes arising in international trade and commercial disputes arising out of oil, sugar and metal. He also advises on international law issues and is significantly involved in issues relating to the former Republic of Yugoslavia.
He has handled disputes before many international arbitral bodies, trade associations and foreign tribunals including Russian arbitration bodies. He has also had significant insurance and shipping experience.
John is recommended in the 2006 edition of The Legal 500 Commodities work and Commercial Litigation (Public International Law).
