Julie is a senior solicitor specialising in commercial and transport disputes. Her extensive experience covers all aspects of shipping law and marine insurance and the carriage of goods and cargoes by sea and road.
She specialises in liability and recovery cases and represents clients from numerous jurisdictions including The Netherlands, Germany, Italy and the US.
Her experience includes handling disputes and claims relating to all types of charterparties and bills of lading, as well as the sale of goods and commodities and insurance policy disputes.
Julie regularly acts for insurers in the Lloyd's and Companies Market and has been involved in multi-jurisdictional cases and forum issues.
She has taken cases to trial in both the Admiralty and Commercial Court in London, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.
She has run many arbitrations, in particular LMAA and has personally represented clients at mediations.
