Lorne is a consultant within the aviation group.
He was elected a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the International Council of Environmental Law. Lorne is also a member of the International Bar Association.
His principal areas of practice include; air law generally, US regulatory, liability, conditions of carriage, competition law, commercial matters, intergovernmental and industry relations, bilateral air agreements, strategic international air transport policy.
After distinguished career as Canadian Ambassador, was IATA VP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary 1994-2002. Intimately involved in modernising airline liability regime and negotiating 2001 Cape Town Convention on aircraft financing/leasing.
Lorne speaks fluent French, Spanish and basic German.
