Luc Piéto graduated in International and EEC Law and Political Sciences from PARIS II Panthéon-Assas University (1985).
He started his career in international commodity trade holding various legal and executive positions, first in the Peter Cremer Group then in the SUCDEN group where he was more specially in charge of the Barter-Trade Department Back-Office.
He left trading for industry in 1995 to become the Legal and Administrative Manager of Leroux & Lotz Naval (the Shipbuilding Holding Company of the Leroux & Lotz Group in Nantes).
In 1998 he joined the ALSTOM Group, as a senior lawyer of ALSTOM Marine, when ALSTOM took over the main shipbuilding activities of Leroux & Lotz. In 2001 he was also appointed manager of the Financing and Guarantees Department of ALSTOM Marine.
Luc Piéto joined Clyde & Co in January 2007.
