Maylis has been a lawyer and member of the Paris Bar since December 1975 and is a partner in the Clyde & Co Paris aviation department (formerly Beaumont Garnault) following the merger with Beaumont Garnault in 2006 where she was a partner. Prior to that, since the late 1980s, she was a senior lawyer at Cabinet Garnault.
She obtained a Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures from the Paris Law School in 1976 and a Masters degree in Comparative Law from the University of Michigan Law School, USA in 1979.
Having worked in France and overseas her practice covers a number of the legal aspects of international trade. In particular, her aviation law practice includes contracts (purchase, leasing, financing and others), the legal and judicial aspects of aviation insurance, airline business, product liability and aircraft accidents and liabilities of the respective parties involved, litigation and arbitration.
Maylis is a member of the Board of the Société Française de Droit Aérien et Spatial.
In addition to her native French she speaks fluent English.
