Neil is co-head of the professional and commercial disputes team. He is a highly regarded professional liability lawyer with great experience defending claims against solicitors, accountants and surveyors. He has acted on many leading professional negligence cases, especially claims involving real estate and landlord and tenant issues, in which he has particular expertise.
He is also regularly involved in disputes in many other areas of commercial life including property litigation, corporate disputes and claims in the banking and wider financial services sector. Recent instructions include acting for the claimant in Halyvourgiki Inc v Citigroup Global Markets Ltd, the first successful case of its kind for losses caused by inaccurate financial analysis. Neil is also currently working on shareholder and joint venture disputes, tax and trust litigation, asset tracing and pensions claims.
Neil is recommended in the most recent editions of the Legal 500 and Chambers UK and regularly writes and speaks on litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution matters.
