Neil joined Clyde & Co as a partner in 2009. He specialises in complex insurance claims with a particular emphasis on disputes involving property, liability and financial lines.
Neil's practice has a strong international flavour. He has particular experience of litigating in Colombia, where for several years he has represented London market reinsurers in the defence of very large class actions arising from the collapse of the domestic lending system in 1999.
Before entering practice Neil was a Fellow of Robinson College, Cambridge and a speechwriter to the Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine of Lairg. He maintains active ties with Cambridge and teaches there regularly during term time.
