Paul joined Clyde & Co as a partner from another major international firm in July 2003 and is qualified as a solicitor and an advocate (civil) in England & Wales.
Paul specialises in handling complex commercial disputes. He heads the firm's banking litigation practice and he has been involved in litigation in courts in the UK and elsewhere and has worked on international arbitrations and mediations. Paul is a frequent writer on legal issues and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars. He is also often asked to provide in-house training to clients.
Paul has excellent experience in acting for and against banks as well as clients in the telecoms, media and technology sectors. He has advised on tax and customs disputes and litigation arising out of EC competition law. He has also gained specialist expertise in commercial fraud and trusts disputes and in acting in large scale insolvency and bankruptcy cases.
Paul is recommended as a leader in commercial litigation by The Legal 500 and by Chambers and Partners Guide to the UK Legal Profession. He is described as "commercially minded and results-oriented" and "a tough operator" who "thinks outside the box".
