Recent experience

• California Appellate Court (2010). Summary judgment affirmed in client's favour resulting in multi-million dollar award regarding duties of umbrella and primary carriers and contractual indemnity issues.
• Washington Appellate Court (2008). Decision obtained regarding equitable allocation as to umbrella and primary policies in multi-million dollar dispute.
• California Appellate Court (2007). Summary judgment affirmed in client's favour obtaining multi-million dollar award. Decision set important precedent regarding duties of umbrella and primary carriers.
• Wyoming Appellate Court (2005). Summary judgment affirmed resulting in dismissal of $28M action against clients regarding underlying action for alleged Lanham Act, unfair competition and advertising injury damages.
• California Trial Court (2004). Co-trial Counsel in the defence of a complaint asserting over $1 million in damages and prosecution of cross-complaint concerning non-competition agreement. Complaint was defeated and judgment of almost $900,000 was obtained in favour of client on the cross-complaint.
• California Appellate Court (1998). Represented insurers in pollution coverage action involving a series of eight jury trials and appeals concerning over $500M in claims. One of the lead trial and appellate counsel and argued the case before the California Court of Appeal.
