Simon Jones joined Clyde & Co in 1982. He was a partner from 1986 to 2007 and is now a consultant.
His background is in dispute resolution - litigation, arbitration, mediation- involving insurance, shipping, and international trade.
He has practised in London and Hong Kong. He spent 15 years heading our Cardiff office where he worked effectively ' in- house ' with the UK Government's Export Credits Guarantee Department (Short Term Credit Arm) (ECGD) and, following its privatisation, with Atradius Credit Insurance N.V, one of the world's leading credit insurers.
Simon now specialises in credit and political risk insurance on which he has often spoken, most recently at the AGM of the International Credit & Surety Association in Amsterdam. He is also a contributor to the British Exporters Association Guide to Retention of Title Clauses in Export Contracts.
