Stephen is an employment specialist. He has 20 years' experience in dealing with the full range of employment law matters including representing parties at employment tribunals.
Before joining Clyde & Co, Stephen was head of employment at a leading niche firm and before that head of legal at what became the trade union Amicus. Stephen therefore has in depth knowledge of trade union matters and collective consultation structures.
He also enjoyed a term on the "Committee of Experts" advising the European Commission on the introduction of employment directives. Stephen deals with the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues with his team of assistants working principally from the Guildford office.
Due to his experience negotiating background, he regularly advises on senior executive hire and fire scenarios and company restructuring and has particular expertise in the transfer of undertakings.
