Tim became a partner and head of the aviation department at another leading law firm in 1991 and joined Clyde & Co in like capacity in 2004.
He specialises in aviation and aerospace law and claims and represents aviation insurers, airlines and manufacturers worldwide. He was responsible for pioneering the use of the common law injunction to restrain forum shopping following aviation disasters.
Tim is heavily involved in high-profile aviation disaster work, regularly acting for aircraft operators and multi-national aviation product manufacturers, and has been nominated as the solicitor to handle claims for many international airlines.
He has considerable experience in the industry, originally trained as a commercial pilot at BOAC. He was one of the founding members of the Lawyers Flying Association and maintains a current pilot's license and instrument rating. Tim is also a member of the Guild of Pilots and Air Navigators.
