Tony is a partner in the firm's Insurance and Reinsurance group. His core practice areas are political and trade credit risk and speciality and surety. He specialises in handling complex and sensitive disputes, many with multi-jurisdictional aspects and involving fraud. Tony is also known for his experience in multi-party High Court commercial litigation and other dispute resolution processes, including LCIA, ICC and UNCITRAL arbitrations.
His wider practice areas encompass dispute resolution and regulatory advice to Lloyd's syndicates, other London market and global insurers, as well as the technology, media and telecoms sector, commodity traders, mining and energy companies and banking and financial institutions. Tony was seconded to a major Lloyd's syndicate during the second half of 2008 where he had direct dealings and took a significant role in maintaining relationships with brokers and insureds during the underwriting and claims processes.
Tony is also a Recorder (part-time judge) of the Crown Court, which is the only court in England and Wales to try criminal cases on indictment.
