Trevor McCann is a partner in Clyde & Co’s Montreal office. He regularly acts for numerous syndicates at Lloyd's, domestic and foreign insurers, managing general agents, brokers and adjusting firms.
Trevor’s insurance practice centres on coverage opinion work and litigation in respect of PI, D&O, CGL, product recall and commercial crime risks. He also deals with specialised insurance arrangements, including captives and reciprocals. He frequently provides claims handling advice, acts as claims monitoring counsel, conducts claims management audits, drafts and reviews policy wordings, and gives risk management, loss prevention and practice advice and seminars. He frequently speaks on insurance and liability-related issues.
Trevor litigates professional and general liability claims, with a particular focus on defending financial risk matters. He also regularly litigates fraud-related subrogation claims under fidelity bonds.
A member of the Quebec Bar and the Canadian Bar Association, Trevor is an honours graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, B.A. 1993, and a magna cum laude graduate of McGill University Faculty of Law, B.C.L., LL.B, 1997. Trevor is fluent in English and French.
