Business development and marketing

Creating new business is at the heart of what we do. Our BD and marketing team seeks to foster new and existing client development needs on behalf of partners and staff. We steadily promote Clyde & Co’s capabilities to an external audience, as well as publishing internal communications.

The team supports the firm in brand development, client database management, events, strategy and planning, publications, public relations, website content, and promotional support.

Business Acceptance Unit/compliance and company secretarial

The Business Acceptance Unit (BAU) and the compliance team perform fundamental tasks that ensure the smooth running of day-to-day administrative functions.

The team is also knowledgeable about service provision in relation to and general advice on company secretarial law, legalisation services, agent for service of process, company searches and related matters.

Costs

The costs team is accountable for all aspects of billing and fees. They advise on costs recovery, interpretation of orders, client costs and solicitor-client billings and queries.

Facilities

The facilities team provides everyone in the firm with all the office essentials. They provide and manage office accommodation, equipment, supplies and services in a professional and cost-effective manner. They help to guarantee a comfortable and productive working environment.

Finance

Finance is responsible for all matters concerning the firm’s finance and accounts. Their remit includes accounts payable, accounts systems, billing, credit control, cashier support, petty cash and expenses.

Human resources

HR offers the full range of services to both the legal and business areas of the firm. They perform management and operational functions, such as performance, benefits, payroll, recruitment, graduate and summer placement schemes and policies.

Information services

The information services department helps keep fee-earners in all of our 18 offices up-to-date and informed on a variety of topics. The team provides the information in several media: textbooks, journal articles, law reports, and internal and external databases. Our services include an enquiry service, a current awareness service, libraries of the firm’s work, information databases, and access to electronic resources and the proper training to use them.

IT

Our IT department keeps the firm connected and ready for business. They maintain all of the firm’s IT systems and functions, including system design, build, implementation and operations. Depending on the issue, they will tailor a solution for the short, medium or long-term needs of the firm.
