Immigration

As a multi-jurisdictional firm with 18 offices across four continents, we are ideally placed to assist companies and individuals on all aspects of corporate immigration. Our capability is both inward to the UK and outward through management of foreign processes via our overseas offices or long-established foreign correspondents.

Inward to the UK we advise on the full range of corporate immigration issues including:

  • Applications under the Work Permit Scheme
  • Applications under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme
  • Applications for variations of leave to remain
  • Applications for indefinite leave to remain
  • Applications for naturalisation
  • Applications outside the immigration rules
  • Applications to the European Section of the Home Office
  • Applications under the Workers' Registration Scheme

The corporate immigration team advises clients in relation to Home Office compliance investigations. We also provide risk management advice on relevant legal and regulatory changes within the corporate immigration framework and age discrimination legislation. Radical changes to the corporate immigration framework will be phased in from 2008 and will place even greater emphasis on risk management/regulatory aspects. Our team also successfully resisted the Home Secretary's appeal on a recent case involving Article 8 of the Human Rights Act.

Our long-established relationships with the relevant administering bodies in the UK have contributed to our 100% success rate in corporate immigration cases. Some of these cases are diverse and complex, and we specialise in providing bespoke solutions for each matter.

We successfully manage corporate immigration processes involving relocations to a wide variety of countries, including: India, Australia, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, and Hong Kong. We also advise multi-jurisdictional clients on global compliance issues.

Our clients include:

  • British Sky Broadcasting
  • Vodafone
  • Sasol
  • Tetrapak
  • Partygaming
  • Total Gas and Power
  • Glencore

The team's corporate immigration seminars, often in conjunction with the international employment law team, are well attended and received.
