Clyde & Co has again been recognised as a key player for India-related work in the annual Foreign Law Firm Intelligence Report by India Business Law Journal (IBLJ), which aims to give insight into the leading foreign law firms for India-related work . The firm maintains its position in the top 20 of 100 law firms ranked for India-related assignments.
IBLJ cited Clyde & Co’s expertise in the insurance, aviation, shipping, infrastructure and projects sectors as well as a range of transactions in India over the past year among them Afcons Infrastructure and Marico on their investments in Saudi Arabia; Dr. Reddy’s laboratories on its US operations; and Essar Oil on its dispute with United India Insurance – one of the largest disputed insurance claims in Indian history and an IBLJ 2012 dispute of the year. In the previous year, 2012, the firm was noted for its client relationship management, for advising various clients on their business expansions into India and for its labour-related mandates.
IBLJ is an international magazine that provides legal intelligence to domestic and international businesses in India. This year, IBLJ received submissions for its survey from 600 law firms that were involved in India-related transactions.
