Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Claire Petts has been promoted to partnership as of 1 May 2010.
Claire joined BLG in 2005 and practises within the firm’s Casualty & Healthcare team. She advises on a broad range of healthcare matters including negligence claims against medical professionals and professional regulatory issues. Claire also has extensive experience in providing representation at Inquests. She contributes regularly to both internal and external publications on healthcare issues and lectures and trains on new legal issues affecting the medical profession. Claire has particular interest in the growing area of Disability Discrimination Act claims against healthcare providers. Claire has been recognised as a leading clinical negligence lawyer in the latest editions of the UK Legal 500 and Chambers UK directories, where she is described as having "energy and enthusiasm; she's not afraid of anything and is highly intelligent and very efficient – she is plainly going places fast."
