Redundancy Masterclass: Pitfalls and Practical Pointers

Tuesday, March 26, 2024
09.30 - 12.30
Employment, Pensions & Immigration

Overview & Audience

Making employees redundant can be challenging from a legal perspective and in terms of the impact on those affected and the wider workforce.

Tribunal claims arising from redundancy dismissals are common, with issues raised often including failure to consult at the appropriate time, discrimination in the selection process, lack of transparency and ulterior motives for dismissal.

Join us on Tuesday 26 March at 1599 at The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, 232-242 St Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 5RJ, where our employment law experts will guide you through an interactive and thought-provoking journey, illuminating the legal and practical aspects of redundancy. Through watching our multi-talented team role play different stages of the redundancy process and then participating in subsequent group discussions about the issues which arise, you will gain hands-on experience in managing workplace redundancies, ensuring you are well-equipped to safeguard your organisation, employees and stakeholders.

This session is aimed at HR professionals, in-house solicitors and managers who may be involved in redundancy processes.

Please RSVP by Tuesday 19 March to confirm your attendance. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to respond promptly. Light refreshments will be provided.
