On 25 March 2020, shortly after the beginning of confinement in France, the government adopted several measures setting out how contractual or non-contractual time limits should be adjusted and proceedings adapted during the period of health emergency. This document aims at explaining the functioning of these measures and provides a practical guide to how they apply to some of the most relevant aspects of insurance contracts such as time bar, cooling off rights, suspension and termination for non-payment of premiums etc.
