Whiplash Reforms Q&A: Starting claims / Indemnity issues
UK & Europe
Insurance & Reinsurance
Our Clyde & Co Casualty team have created a series of webinars that aims to address questions on various elements of the operation of the Official Injury Claims Portal (OICP) from an insurer’s perspective.
We’re pleased to share the second webinar in this series with you – “Liability”. In this session Mark Hemsted, Partner and Head of Motor, and Stuart Hunt, Professional Support Lawyer discuss issues in relation to liability in the OICP.
About our webinar series:
The whiplash reforms will trigger seismic changes in the low value motor claims market, both for claimants and insurers. As of 31 May 2021, the Official Injury Claims Portal (OICP) will be expected to handle all claims falling within its scope. However, it is apparent that there are questions remaining around the operation of the OICP despite the publication of both the Pre-Action Protocol and Guide to Making a Claim. In our webinar series we address questions on various elements of the operation of the OICP.
Please register for our webinar and every week we’ll send you a recording as part of the series:
