Harry is an Associate in the Construction Professionals group, with experience in the defence of construction professional indemnity claims and related insurance disputes (including CAR policies).
Before joining Clyde & Co, Harry worked at another city law firm during which period he was an active member of the Contractors Legal Grp (the leading umbrella association for main contractors) and the JCT Council (producer of a comprehensive range of standard forms of contract for construction, guidance notes and other standard documentation for use in the construction industry in the United Kingdom).
Experience
- Acting for a Tier 1 main contractor in a high value (£150m+) trial before the Commercial Court.
- Providing advice to an engineering firm appointed under a JCT Design & Build on limitation issues (under the Civil Liability (Contribution) Act 1978) following extensive water ingress at a care home development.
- Defending a specialist contractor in a breach of contract claim concerning their design and installation of alfresco restaurant fitouts in central London.
- Acting on behalf of a HVAC specialist subcontractor in a dispute concerning M&E works carried out at an entertainment complex in Manchester.
- Acting on behalf of a firm of architects following a subrogated recovery claim advanced by the Claimant (main contractor).
- Providing coverage advice on a Professional Indemnity Building/Engineering Contractors policy following notification by an M&E subcontractor.
- Providing a solar panel installation firm with coverage advice with respect to their Contractors Combined Policy following a product liability claim.
