James joined Clyde & Co in December 2019. Based in the Manchester LA and Police team, James is instructed by insurers to defend Employers' and Public Liability claims.

James case load primarily involves complex medical causation issues concerning brain injuries, pain conditions and psychiatric disorders. James has handled cases pleaded in excess of £1m.

In genuine cases, James endorses a holistic approach to rehabilitation coupled with co-operative mediation. However, many of James cases involve exaggeration and malingering and therefore he regularly pursues arguments of fundamental dishonesty with notable success.
