Heather has many years' experience of advising public and private sector clients on major projects involving a variety of procurement options. She is familiar with meeting the challenge of complex ventures involving a range of legal disciplines and a multiplicity of interested parties and has particular experience of major projects. She is experienced in advising on and drafting amendments to FIDIC, NEC, ICE, IChemE and JCT contracts in addition to drafting bespoke contract conditions for a wide range of projects. Heather also advises on professional team appointments and construction related security documentation.
Heather also has extensive dispute resolution experience representing clients in court proceedings, arbitration and adjudication. Heather's contentious experience includes advising on and managing claims via a variety of alternative dispute resolution procedures such as mediation. Her contentious practice covers a broad range of construction disputes including claims for defective works; delay and loss and expense; final account disputes; professional negligence claims.
