Cornelia has extensive experience of representing clients in complex cross-border disputes governed by a variety of substantive and procedural laws. Her experience includes handling international arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and before arbitral institutions such as ICC, DIS and GMAA, on a variety of legal issues including commercial matters, international trade, logistics and employment matters. She has acted in a variety of high value and multi-jurisdictional disputes with a particular focus on the energy (renewables) and commodities sector as well as on construction and infrastructure disputes.

In addition, Cornelia has extensive experience in the drafting, review and negotiation of commercial contracts such as supply, purchasing, distribution and cooperation agreements as well as contracts related to offshore, construction and infrastructure projects. She advises clients at every phase of a project.

Cornelia leads the Clyde & Co’s Singapore-German Desk. She has experience advising on various contentious and non-contentious matters with a German angle.

Cornelia studied law at Martin-Luther-University in Halle/Wittenberg, Germany and at Paris Nanterre University, Paris, France. Her experience covers two years with a corporate team of an international law firm in Munich. Prior to joining Clyde & Co in Singapore in 2019, Cornelia worked as a lawyer for another international law firm in Hamburg where she focussed on representing clients in the marine sector in commercial disputes before German state courts and arbitral institutions.

Cornelia is admitted as Rechtsanwältin in Germany, and she is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore. She is a member of the German-Singaporean Chamber of Commerce, the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) and the German Maritime Arbitration Association (GMAA). She speaks German, English and French.
