Kateryna has significant experience in international commercial, construction, and investor-state arbitration under the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, and UNCITRAL (PCA) rules. Her practice also encompasses complex litigation in common law jurisdictions, including proceedings before the High Court and Court of Appeal of England and Wales, as well as the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts.

She is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and has practiced in Dubai since 2020. Kateryna read Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford, graduating with honours. Prior to joining Clyde & Co in September 2025, she worked in the London and Dubai offices of two leading US law firms and trained at a Magic Circle firm, during which time she was seconded to Dubai.

Kateryna is fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. She sits as arbitrator and was shortlisted for the Rising Star in Litigation award by the Women in Business Law Awards in 2025.

Experience
  • Representing a UAE government corporation in the energy sector in defending a claim by a US investment bank under a financial services agreement (High Court, London).
  • Acting for an AIM listed oil and gas exploration and production company in ICSID proceedings brought against Italy under the Energy Charter Treaty and the related annulment proceedings.*
  • Advising an operator on its USD 690 million acquisition of ownership interests in power generation and water desalination in Kuwait and Bahrain.*
  • Representing Lebanese investors in an ICSID arbitration against the Republic of Armenia, in connection with the expropriation of waste management contracts.*
  • Representing the claimant in a USD 350 million property development dispute in the DIFC Court of First Instance and Court of Appeal.*
  • Representing a trading company in an UNCITRAL arbitration arising out of failures in LNG supply during the COVID 19 pandemic.*
  • Representing the African subsidiary of a UK commodity trading business in an ICC arbitration against an African State relating to an iron ore project.*
  • Representing a UK metal trading company in an ICSID arbitration against Sierra Leone stemming from its investment in the mining sector.*
  • Acting for several defendants in a complex award enforcement dispute arising out of related Belgian attachment proceedings involving the same parties. Named one of the Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases of 2020 (High Court, London).*
  • Successfully striking out claims of fraud and conspiracy on behalf of several defendants concerning certain securities issued by an affiliate of a major CIS bank (High Court, London).*
  • Acting for the claimant in a US 20-million-dollar ICC debt recovery arbitration against MENA-based entities.*
