Victor Gontard

Victor is a Senior Associate focusing on regulatory topics and all aspects of corporate law. He regularly works on matters involving insurance and banking supervision, ESG regulation, domestic and international corporate law matters and cross-border transactions. He also advises clients as part of complex cross-border arbitration proceedings.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Victor worked in the Hamburg office of a global law firm for more than two years after having completed his legal traineeship in the Paris and Munich offices of various international leading law firms.

Victor graduated from the EDHEC Business School with a master’s degree in management and a LL.M. in Tax and Law before studying law at the Aix-Marseille University, where he obtained a master’s degree in international business law with a concentration on international arbitration. He is admitted to practice law in both France (avocat) and Germany (Rechtsanwalt).

He is a native French speaker and is fluent in English and German.
