Full Profile

Shain Wasser focuses her practice on civil litigation in federal and state courts, helping clients navigate complex disputes with clear, practical advice. Shain acts for insurers, businesses, and professionals across a wide range of contentious matters, with a particular emphasis on risk assessment and early, commercial resolution.

Shain’s work spans coverage and bad faith disputes, product liability, premises liability, marine matters, and employment litigation, including wrongful termination and discrimination claims. She also represents clients in construction and habitability claims, where technical issues and multiple parties often increase the level of risk and complexity.

She regularly defends directors and officers in management liability claims and represents real estate brokers and agents in residential and commercial property disputes. Her practice also includes significant personal injury litigation, involving catastrophic and emotional injuries, brain damage, and wrongful death.

In addition to her courtroom practice, Shain has extensive experience advising insurance carriers on complex coverage issues and designing strategies to resolve them efficiently. She also assists clients in monitoring complex multi-district litigation, ensuring they understand the full risk landscape and can make informed decisions at each stage of the process.

As a seasoned litigator, Shain works closely with clients and opposing counsel to achieve outcomes that align with the commercial and strategic objectives of all parties. She prepares each matter thoroughly and pursues focused, assertive strategies that often lead to early settlement. When necessary, she is experienced in handling both arbitrations and jury trials and is comfortable guiding clients through every phase of the dispute process.
