Her experience includes assisting local and international companies on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and general corporate advisory matters. She has worked with clients operating in the healthcare, hospitality, insurance and reinsurance, real estate, retail and consumer and technology sectors. 

Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from The American University in Cairo, Egypt in 2022, specialising in Political Science and International Law. 

Prior to joining the firm, Karen completed an internship with an international law firm in Cairo. While studying, she took on a leadership role at the American University, gaining valuable management experience.

Karen is fluent in Arabic, English, French and is proficient in Spanish.

Experience

• Assisting Capital for Securitization on the EGP 718 million securitization bond issuance, split into three tranches, in consideration for the microfinance portfolio of Erada Microfinance Co. (Erada). 
• Assisting QInvest L.L.C. (QInvest), Qatar's leading investment group and one of the world’s most prominent Islamic financial institutions on the 100 per cent sale of QInvest Portfoy, one of the leading asset management companies in Turkey.
• Assisting Nexus Underwriting (Nexus), a Brown & Brown group business, on its acquisition of Arma Fusion Limited, the parent company of Arma Underwriting Limited, completed on 2 January 2025. 
• Assisting Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) on its successful acquisition of American International Group’s (AIG) global personal travel insurance and assistance business, including Travel Guard. 
• Assisting the Sixth of October Development and Investment Company (SODIC) – a company listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), and one of Egypt’s leading diversified real estate developers in country and majority owned subsidiary of the consortium of Aldar Properties and ADQ, on its 100 per cent sale of SODIC’s securitization arm – SODIC for Securitization S.A.E  
• Assisting a leading international tech company on its AI product launch and internet provider services in the Middle East region.
• Assisting a leading international tech company on its services launch in the Middle East. 
• Assisting a leading French insurance company on its acquisition of 100 per cent of the issued share capital of a leading healthcare focused investment group. 
• Assisting on the registration of several global companies in relation to their worldwide trademark registration.
• Assisting a large Chinese tech company in its acquisition of 100 per cent of the share capital of a Saudi communication company. 
• Assisting a leading international supplier and exporter cement company in its acquisition of 100 per cent of the share capital of three subsidiaries of a leading building materials construction United Arab Emirates company.
• Assisting a large investment company specialising in food and beverage (F&B) development and operation in its subscription investment for a 30 per cent equity stake through a primary offering.
