Full Profile

Akyn’s practice spans construction and infrastructure disputes, commercial litigation, insurance and reinsurance claims, investigations, and white-collar crime. Akyn has represented clients before the Thai courts, the Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI), the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), and in ICC arbitrations, across matters involving substantial financial exposure and cross-border complexity.

His construction practice includes acting for developers, contractors, and state enterprises in high-value disputes arising from residential, hotel, resort, and infrastructure projects across Thailand. He has led teams of Thai and foreign counsel in multilingual arbitration proceedings, including a matter involving claims of approximately THB 17 billion (approximately USD 530 million).

In commercial disputes, Akyn has represented major hotel chains in management agreement disputes, defended a global air transport technology company in a high-value contractual claim, and advised multinational corporations on distribution, licensing, and IP-related disputes with cross-border elements.

In investigations, Akyn has advised a leading pharmaceutical company on an FCPA and anti-bribery compliance review, represented a US steel producer in a fraud investigation before the Thai Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECSD), and defended clients in proceedings before Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission and Anti-Money Laundering Office. He is admitted to the Lawyers Council of Thailand.
