Andrew West is a Legal Director in our Disease Team based in our Southampton office.
His expertise lies in disease and complex claims and handles a caseload involving exposure to asbestos, vibration, noise including acoustic shock and other conditions from exposure to other toxic materials, including diesel fumes. For insurers, local authorities and other self-insureds.
Experience
Acting for housing associations and landlords in respect of respiratory conditions allegedly contracted as a result of exposure to mould and other toxic substances in defective premises.
Representing defendants and insurers in primary and secondary exposure to asbestos, at the workplace, in the home and from environmental exposures.
Advising and defending claims for noise damage and tinnitus following RTA’s.
Acting and advising on whole-body vibration claims operating mobile cranes at Container Terminal.
Defending WRULD and shoulder injury claims following vibration exposure and or repetitive strain injury.
Advising on and defending interstitial lung disease claims arriving from alleged workplace exposure to diesel fumes.
Advising insurers on policy issues arising from nondisclosure.
