Clyde & Co scoops three awards at Chambers Middle East Awards

Mark Blanksby, Chairman of the MEA Board of Clyde & Co, comments: "These awards are a great testament to the continued growth and recognition of our business across the region, the trust our clients place in us, and the commitment and quality of our people. COVID-19 generated unprecedented uncertainty for businesses in the region, and we have been very proud to help our clients throughout and will continue to focus on their evolving needs.

In the past 18 months, Clyde & Co has seen significant growth across its business. Highlights have included the partner promotions of Mohammed Aldowish, Michael Ducker, and Rizwan Osman, the growth of the firm's projects and construction practice through the relocation of partner Damian Watkin from Sydney to Abu Dhabi and the expansion of its corporate practice with the addition of partner Chadi Salloum in Dubai.

Clyde & Co has acted on a series of complex and high-profile matters; in the UAE, it advised Abu Dhabi-based National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) on its acquisition of NPCC to create one of the leading integrated EPC players in the UAE and advised the Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) Authority in relation to the drafting of new companies regulations. In Qatar, the firm advised multiple international contractors involved in Qatar’s most high-profile projects. In Saudi Arabia, the firm advised on many of the Kingdom’s giga-projects as part of the Vision 2030 initiative, advised on one of the biggest insurance cases in the history of Saudi's Insurance Disputes Committee and advised on various high-profile mining and transportation disputes.

Chambers Middle East Awards recognise a law firm’s pre-eminence in key jurisdictions in the region, reflecting on achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service. They honour the work of national and international law firms across the region based on the research for the recent edition of Chambers Global Guide.
