Clyde & Co hires Rob Lowe in continued expansion for Corporate & Advisory practice

Global law firm Clyde & Co has today announced the hire of Rob Lowe as a corporate partner in its global Corporate & Advisory practice based in London. The move continues a period of expansion for the practice on a global scale creating an international network of cross-border Corporate legal expertise.

Rob has extensive experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, financial regulatory, compliance and corporate aspects of commercial disputes. He has worked across several key sectors including energy and natural resources, commodities, insurance and re-insurance and more generally in retail, media and entertainment, technology, real estate, aerospace and defence and professional services.

Rob joins Clyde & Co from Reed Smith where he was Counsel and had worked since 2016. Prior to that Rob worked in-house as General Counsel to a dual-listed (Toronto and London Stock Exchanges) oil and gas exploration and production company.

In his early career, Rob focussed on corporate finance, M&A, private equity, and advising FTSE companies and investment banks. Later he gained experience in complex, high-value, cross-border restructuring matters, implementing global legal projects, and the Turkish market.

Rob’s experience is particularly focused in the sectors of energy and natural resources, commodities, insurance and re-insurance and more generally in retail, media and entertainment, technology, real estate, aerospace and defence and professional services.

This latest partner hire follows a period of global expansion for Clyde & Co’s Corporate & Advisory practice. In the Middle East & Africa, Mohamed Barakat became Managing Partner of Clyde & Co’s new associated office in Egypt launched in February 2023, senior corporate and commercial lawyer Anas Alswailem joined as a partner in Saudi Arabia in January 2023, and Gasant Orrie joined in South Africa in July 2022. In Latin America, Clyde & Co opened its first Chile office in August 2022 with a corporate and transactional specialist team.
