Rebecca is a highly regarded disputes and investigations lawyer with over 20 years of experience leading and defending investigations throughout the Middle East and APAC. Rebecca counsels multinational companies on compliance with anti-corruption/bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-boycott laws and defends companies facing enforcement by regulators.

In addition, she is an advocate with full rights of audience in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts and has served as counsel in high-value Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and DIFC-LCIA arbitrations.

Rebecca was previously the Dubai managing partner and head of litigation at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, leading its Middle East regulatory and disputes team.

Rebecca's appointment further bolsters Clyde & Co's global regulatory & investigations team, following the appointments of partners Weiyi Tan in Singapore and Matthew Ellis in Melbourne, both last year.

Rachel Cropper-Mawer, Partner, Regulatory & Investigations, Clyde & Co, says: "Rebecca is a phenomenally experienced regulatory lawyer with investigations expertise. Increasingly our clients' investigations and regulatory requirements cross borders and the return of Rebecca to Clyde & Co will boost our local and global team and broaden our offering to our clients. We are delighted at her return."

Susie Abdel-Nabi, Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution, Middle East, comments: "Rebecca is one of the leading regulatory lawyers in the region and we are delighted that she is returning to Clyde & Co. The regulatory landscape is rapidly evolving and Rebecca's experience will allow us to better advise our clients on how to manage these risks and make the most of the opportunities that exist."

Rebecca Kelly adds: "Returning to Clyde & Co is a fantastic opportunity as the firm expands its regulatory and investigations offering globally. We have seen a steady increase in the number of corporate investigations and complex cross-border disputes arising from these investigations as regulators become more proactive, moving compliance up the priority list for in-house Counsel and Boards across all sectors. We are ideally placed to help clients with these pressures and I am delighted to be working again with the experienced global team."

Clyde & Co's global regulatory & investigations team advises both corporates and individuals to manage the latest regulatory developments, handle internal investigations, respond to external investigations, investigate fraud & white-collar crime, advise on disclosures to regulators and deal with any regulatory or criminal prosecutions that arise. Clyde & Co also works with clients around the world to deal with complex multi-jurisdictional and cross-border transactions and disputes.
